Trump Gives Iran 48-Hour Deadline for Deal or Strait Action

U.S. President Donald Trump has once again issued a strong warning to Iran, saying it has 48 hours to reach a deal or reopen the Strait of Hormuz, otherwise it will face severe consequences.

In a post on his social media platform Truth Social, Trump reminded that he had earlier given Iran 10 days to either strike an agreement or allow the reopening of the strategic waterway.

He stated that the 10-day deadline is about to expire, leaving only 48 hours, and warned that failure to comply would result in serious repercussions for Iran.

It is worth noting that Trump had initially set a two-day deadline in late March regarding the Strait of Hormuz. Meanwhile, Pakistan initiated diplomatic efforts in Islamabad to facilitate talks between Iran and the United States, after which the deadline was extended by 10 days following what Trump described as positive signals from Iran.
