Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that Turkey does not want rising tensions between the United States and Iran to spread across the region. He stressed that regional stability must be protected. Moreover, he warned that ongoing conflicts could damage peace in neighboring countries.

President Erdogan made these remarks during a meeting in Istanbul with a leader from Iraq’s Kurdish regional government. He expressed concern over recent attacks in Iraq linked to wider regional tensions. In addition, he emphasized that Turkey strongly opposes any expansion of the conflict into other countries.

He further said that stability in Iraq is very important for the entire region. According to him, a strong and united central government in Iraq will help improve peace and cooperation. Therefore, he urged all sides to support Iraq’s unity and political stability.

Separately, Erdogan spoke at a defense exhibition in Istanbul. He said that Turkey has achieved a strong position in defense, aviation, and space technology. Moreover, he noted that global demand for Turkish defense products is increasing rapidly across many regions.
