World Bank President Ajay Banga Arrives in Pakistan

World Bank President Ajay Banga has arrived in Pakistan on an important official visit to discuss economic reforms, development priorities, and future cooperation. During the World Bank President Ajay Banga Pakistan visit, meetings with senior government leaders will focus on strengthening economic ties and supporting long-term growth plans.
According to official sources, Ajay Banga will remain in Pakistan until February 4. During his stay, he is expected to hold several high-level meetings with top government officials to review Pakistan’s economic situation and ongoing reform efforts.
Sources indicate that discussions may also include economic reforms and the ongoing water-related dispute between Pakistan and India. These issues are considered important for regional stability and sustainable economic development.

During the visit, Ajay Banga is expected to meet Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, along with senior officials from the energy and economic affairs ministries. He will be briefed on Pakistan’s development priorities and major reform initiatives.
Officials also expect progress on the World Bank’s ten-year Country Partnership Framework with Pakistan, under which financial support of up to twenty billion dollars is planned by 2035.
