World Economic Forum: Pakistan Joins Board of Peace for Gaza

Pakistan joined the Board of Peace at WEF 2026 in Davos to support lasting peace in Gaza. The initiative, led by US President Donald Trump, aims to secure a ceasefire and rebuild the war-hit region. Pakistan’s participation reflects its strong commitment to Palestinian rights and proactive global diplomacy.
The Board of Peace focuses on ending Gaza’s humanitarian crisis and restoring critical infrastructure. Reconstruction includes homes, schools, hospitals, water and electricity systems, and reviving economic activities. The plan follows UN Security Council resolutions and promises a dignified life for Palestinians.
Pakistan joined Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Egypt, Jordan, Qatar, UAE, Indonesia, Bahrain, Morocco, Argentina, Hungary, and the United States in the initiative. Muslim countries’ presence ensures Palestinian self-determination remains a central focus. Pakistan’s involvement demonstrates its commitment to multilateral and cooperative solutions.
At the signing ceremony, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met President Trump. Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa thanked Pakistan for supporting peace, opposing violence, and defending Palestinian rights. The event highlighted Pakistan’s growing influence on the global stage.
Officials clarified that joining the Board does not commit Pakistan to military operations. Pakistan maintains a principled stance, emphasizing balanced diplomacy, regional stability, and sustainable peace for Gaza.
