LAHORE – security forces successfully thwarted a series of poorly executed terrorist attacks across Balochistan. These attacks were part of a campaign called “Herof 2.0,” allegedly orchestrated by the foreign-sponsored terrorist network, Fitna-al-Hindustan (FAH), linked to the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA).

In Quetta, terrorists attempted to target a police van on Saryab Road. Police immediately returned fire, and Frontier Corps (FC) troops were deployed for reinforcement. The attackers were neutralized, with four terrorists killed and the area secured.

Simultaneously, in Nushki, terrorists launched a fire raid on the FC Headquarters. Alert troops responded swiftly, forcing the attackers to flee without causing any damage. Another attack occurred in Dalbandin, where two explosions were reported at the FC Headquarters. Security forces managed to contain the situation through prompt action.

Additional attacks were attempted in Kalat, Pasni, and Gwadar. In Kalat, terrorists targeted the Deputy Commissioner’s office and police lines, triggering a firefight. In Pasni and Gwadar, terrorists tried to target a Pakistan Coast Guards facility and a laborers’ colony, respectively. In all cases, security forces neutralized the threats in time.

Despite the coordinated nature of the attacks, the terrorists failed to achieve their intended objectives. The security forces maintained control of the region, with only a few injuries reported. This failure of the “Herof 2.0” campaign is seen as a desperate retaliation against recent counter-terrorism operations that eliminated over 50 terrorists in the region. The situation in Balochistan remains under control as authorities continue to target and dismantle foreign-sponsored terrorist networks.
