Train Services Resume in Quetta After Security Suspension

QUETTA – Train services from Quetta to various parts of Balochistan and other provinces have resumed after several days of suspension. The disruption had caused travel difficulties for many passengers across the region. Railway officials confirmed that operations are now restarting in phases, reconnecting the city with key destinations within and beyond the province.
The temporary halt followed security concerns after attacks on January 31, which forced authorities to suspend train operations for five days. Officials emphasized that safety measures have been strengthened to ensure passenger security and smooth operations. They reassured the public that the phased resumption would prioritize high-demand routes first.
Meanwhile, the Quetta–Chaman passenger train departed on schedule, bringing relief to daily commuters and long-distance travelers alike. The resumption of services allows people to travel for work, education, and family commitments without major disruptions. Passengers welcomed the move and expressed hope for continued safety on these routes.
