Opposition Leader in the Sindh Assembly Ali Khurshidi strongly criticized the Sindh government, saying the rulers are protecting those looting the province’s resources instead of holding them accountable. Speaking to the media in Karachi, he said the same political party has governed Sindh for the past 18 years while governance problems continue to grow.

Ali Khurshidi stated that government spokespersons become uncomfortable whenever issues related to governance and mismanagement are discussed. He also raised concerns about the recent results of the Sindh Public Service Commission and claimed corruption had damaged the credibility of the institution. Moreover, he alleged that assistant commissioner postings are obtained through payments worth millions of rupees.

The opposition leader said examination paper leaks are another sign of administrative failure in the province. He demanded a forensic audit of the Sindh Public Service Commission examinations so that the facts can be brought before the public. Consequently, he argued that transparency and trust in the system could only be restored through accountability.

According to him, drug abuse is destroying families across the province, while the law and order situation in Karachi remains worrying. In addition, he questioned why honors were being awarded to officials despite the ongoing security and administrative challenges.
