India Defeats Pakistan by 88 Runs in Women’s World Cup

India defeated Pakistan by 88 runs in a group match of the ICC Women’s World Cup. The match was played in Colombo, where Pakistan’s captain Fatima Sana won the toss and chose to bowl first. It turned out to be a tough game for the Pakistani team.
India batted first and scored 247 runs before getting all out on the last ball of the 50th over. This was the first time India’s women’s team was all out against Pakistan in an ODI match. Harleen Deol scored 46 runs, while Richa Ghosh, Jemimah Rodrigues, and Pratika Rawal also made useful contributions.

For Pakistan, Diana Baig bowled well and took 4 wickets. Fatima Sana and Sadia Iqbal also took 2 wickets each. Pakistan had to chase a target of 248 runs to win the match.
While chasing, Pakistan’s team was bowled out for 159 runs in the 43rd over. Sidra Ameen was the top scorer with 81 runs. Natalia Parvaiz scored 33, and Sidra Nawaz added 14 runs. No other batter reached double figures.

In the end, India defeated Pakistan by 88 runs, making it a strong win for the Indian women’s team. Just like the men’s team earlier, the Indian players did not shake hands with the Pakistani team. Both captains only spoke to the presenter after the toss but avoided handshakes.
