Misleading propaganda against Pakistan over a Sydney terror attack has been exposed.Israel, India, and Afghanistan-linked sources spread unverified claims after the deadly incident.However, officials say these allegations lack factual evidence and rely on misinformation.
The attack killed 15 people and injured around 40 others, including two police officers.Meanwhile, police killed one attacker and arrested another in injured condition.Authorities also recovered explosive material from a nearby vehicle.
Soon after, Israeli and Indian media attempted to link the attack to Pakistan.An Israeli newspaper labeled the attackers as Pakistanis without verification.Similarly, Indian-linked social media accounts launched coordinated propaganda campaigns.
Pakistani officials confirmed no evidence proves the suspects are Pakistani nationals.Authorities in Australia also denied any confirmation of Pakistani citizenship.Moreover, claims about a tourist visa were proven false by official records.
Records show Sajid Akram arrived in Australia in 1998 on a student visa.Later, he obtained a partner visa after marrying an Australian citizen.Officials say his roots trace back to Afghanistan, stressing terrorism is a global issue.
