Iranian Foreign Minister Holds Second Islamabad Meeting Within 24 Hours

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi held a second meeting in Islamabad within 24 hours with Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, highlighting urgent diplomatic engagement. The Iranian Foreign Minister’s quick return showed the importance of ongoing talks. Meanwhile, both sides focused on regional stability and security cooperation.

Earlier, Abbas Araghchi arrived in Islamabad from Muscat after a brief visit. He had previously reached the city on Friday night and met Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir. After those discussions, he departed for Muscat but returned again the next day, showing continuity in dialogue.

During his short visit, the Iranian Foreign Minister met key Pakistani political and military leaders. According to sources, these meetings covered important regional developments. In addition, officials discussed diplomatic efforts aimed at reducing tensions and strengthening mutual understanding between the two countries.

Furthermore, an Iranian news agency reported that Araghchi presented Iran’s conditions for peace during the talks. These included new regulations for the Strait of Hormuz, ending blockades, compensation, and commitments to non-aggression. However, officials clarified that these discussions were not linked to the nuclear issue.

After completing his engagements, Abbas Araghchi departed Islamabad for Moscow. Reports indicate that he will meet President Vladimir Putin to discuss negotiations and ceasefire developments.
