Sheikh Saleh Al-Fawzan Urges Worship in First 10 Days of Dhul Hijjah

Saudi Arabia’s Grand Mufti, Sheikh Saleh Al-Fawzan, has urged Muslims worldwide to increase their acts of worship during the first ten days of Dhul Hijjah, emphasizing their immense spiritual significance.
He highlighted that these blessed days hold great importance in Islam, encouraging believers to engage in righteous deeds and strengthen their connection with Allah.
According to Sheikh Al-Fawzan, acts such as offering regular prayers, giving charity, observing voluntary fasts, and remembering Allah through dhikr are among the most beloved deeds during this sacred period.
He particularly emphasized the virtue of fasting on the Day of Arafah, noting that for those not performing Hajj, fasting on this day serves as expiation for sins of the previous and coming year.
The Grand Mufti also reminded Muslims intending to perform Qurbani (sacrifice) to refrain from cutting their hair and nails after the sighting of the Dhul Hijjah moon until the sacrifice is completed.
This guidance reflects long-standing Islamic teachings aimed at maximizing spiritual rewards during one of the most important times in the Islamic calendar.
Muslims around the world are encouraged to take full advantage of these days through increased devotion, charity, and reflection.
