Justin Trudeau’s unusual exit from parliament sparks online buzz

Former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau made waves with a unique farewell from Parliament, carrying his chair and playfully sticking out his tongue. The moment, captured in photos and videos, quickly went viral, drawing mixed reactions from the public and political commentators.
In Canada, it is a longstanding tradition that lawmakers can take their chairs with them when they leave office. Political columnist Brian Lilley shared the image on social media, calling it “a weird photo” and suggesting it could hint at an early election.
Trudeau officially stepped down on January 6 after nearly a decade in office as both prime minister and leader of the Liberal Party. Reflecting on his tenure, he stated, “I am proud of what we achieved for the middle class.”
With Trudeau’s departure, Mark Carney has taken over as leader of the Liberal Party and is set to become Canada’s next prime minister.
A former governor of the Bank of Canada and the Bank of England, Carney has promised to address economic challenges and strengthen the nation. “Let’s build a stronger Canada, together,” he declared in his first speech as party leader.
