LONDON – Nobel laureate Malala Yousafzai has urged countries worldwide to pressure the Taliban and limit normal diplomatic relations. She described Afghanistan’s situation as extremely dangerous, especially for girls’ education. Malala stressed that the Taliban are systematically depriving girls and women of basic rights.

She said girls’ schools remain closed, yet Afghan girls continue learning through secret schools and online classes. Malala praised their courage and determination despite Taliban restrictions. She highlighted that these limitations prevent women from leaving homes or working, affecting the nation’s future.

Malala condemned the Taliban’s ban as un-Islamic, emphasizing that no girl should be denied education in the name of religion. She said learning is part of faith. Malala urged the Taliban to interpret religion correctly and respect girls’ rights.
