Naqvi Stresses KP Govt Must Enforce Federal Orders

Federal Interior Minister and PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi addressed a press conference at Gaddafi Stadium on Monday. He warned that fake news would not be tolerated. Naqvi urged citizens to report evidence-based concerns instead of spreading baseless allegations. He also attended the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy final and met players from Sialkot and Karachi Blues.
Naqvi emphasized his support for freedom of expression but stressed that misinformation on social media causes serious harm. “If there is evidence, inform us; otherwise, no one will be accused without proof,” he said. He added that authorities are monitoring developments and will take action against anyone spreading false narratives.
The minister highlighted issues of visa misuse, giving the example of a person traveling to Saudi Arabia on a driver’s visa without knowing how to drive. He warned that not all FIA officials are “angels” but accountability mechanisms are in place. Naqvi also addressed passengers being offloaded at airports, blaming an “agent mafia” for misleading people.
Naqvi reiterated his directive for illegal Afghan nationals to return legally. He announced that Afghans involved in attacks on Islamabad and FC Headquarters have been identified. He instructed SHOs to locate and repatriate illegal Afghans. The minister criticized Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for not fully implementing federal policies and stressed stricter enforcement of directives.
He assured the public that original visas and legitimate employment are not problematic for authorities. Earlier, Naqvi attended the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy final and extended best wishes to the teams. The press conference highlighted the government’s focus on maintaining law, order, and accountability across immigration and social media issues.
