Over 80 Injured in Stampede During Baba Farid Ganj Shakar Urs Celebrations in Pakpattan

More than 80 people were injured after a stampede broke out during the annual Urs celebrations of Baba Farid Ganj Shakar in Pakpattan. The incident occurred late at night when a large number of devotees had gathered at the shrine to participate in the religious events. The Baba Farid Urs stampede left dozens injured and prompted an immediate emergency response.
According to reports, the stampede occurred shortly after midnight during the Urs festivities at the shrine of Baba Farid Ganj Shakar. A sudden rush within the crowd caused panic among attendees, resulting in many people being knocked down and injured.
Rescue officials confirmed that a total of 89 people were hurt in the incident. Of those injured, 64 received first aid treatment at the scene, while 25 people were shifted to nearby hospitals for further medical care.

Authorities stated that rescue and emergency teams responded immediately after the incident. Medical assistance was provided on-site, and efforts were made to manage the crowd and prevent further injuries.

Despite the large number of injuries, no fatalities have been reported.
