Pakistan By-Elections Today: Voting Begins for NA and Punjab Assembly Seats

ISLAMABAD: By-elections for six National Assembly constituencies and seven Punjab Assembly seats are set to take place today as polling begins at 8 AM and will continue without any break until 5 PM.

According to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), election materials have been delivered to all relevant constituencies, and comprehensive arrangements have been finalized. To maintain law and order, Pakistan Army personnel have also been deployed.

The ECP has instructed its field staff to remain neutral and resist any external pressure during the polling process. The Commission warned that any breach of the code of conduct will result in strict disciplinary action.

By-elections for the National Assembly will be held in constituencies NA-18 Haripur, NA-96 Faisalabad, NA-104 Faisalabad, NA-129 Lahore, NA-143 Sahiwal and NA-185 DG Khan.
Punjab Assembly by-polls will be conducted in PP-73 Sargodha, PP-87 Mianwali, PP-98, PP-115 and PP-116 Faisalabad, along with PP-203 Sahiwal and PP-269 Muzaffargarh.

The ECP has instructed media organizations to air unofficial results no earlier than one hour after polling concludes. It also emphasized that all such results must clearly be labelled as unofficial. Only the respective Returning Officers are authorized to issue final and official results.
