The Ministry of Religious Affairs has confirmed that more than 61,000 Pakistani pilgrims have successfully reached Saudi Arabia under the government Hajj scheme as the national Hajj operation continues at full pace.

According to official figures, 61,147 pilgrims have so far been transported, out of a total quota of 119,000 government-sponsored Hajjis. This means that over 51 percent of the planned pilgrims have already arrived in the Kingdom, while nearly 58,000 are still awaiting departure.

The Hajj flight operation, which spans 34 days, includes a total of 468 scheduled flights. Out of these, 244 flights have already been operated. These include 103 flights to Jeddah and 141 to Madinah, reflecting steady progress in the transportation plan.

Authorities stated that more than 52 percent of the total flight schedule has been completed, while 224 flights remain. The operation is now in its final phase, with approximately 10 days left before its completion. The last Hajj flight from Pakistan is scheduled to depart on May 21.

Current accommodation data shows that 56,408 Pakistani pilgrims are residing in Makkah, while 30,477 pilgrims have already moved from Madinah to Makkah after completing their initial stay in the holy city.

To facilitate pilgrims, the government has deployed 1,288 Hajj assistants who are providing logistical, medical, and guidance support throughout the journey. Additionally, 25,782 Pakistani pilgrims have been facilitated with visits to Riyaz-ul-Jannah in Madinah.

Multiple airlines, including Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), Airblue, AirSial, and Saudi Airlines, are participating in the operation to ensure smooth transportation.

Flight distribution includes 129 flights from Islamabad, 124 from Karachi, 104 from Lahore, 18 from Quetta, 34 from Multan, 26 from Sialkot, 23 from Faisalabad, and 5 from Sukkur.

Officials say the operation is progressing smoothly and remains one of the largest coordinated travel arrangements undertaken annually for Pakistani pilgrims.
