PM Shehbaz Orders Continuous Monitoring of National Oil Consumption

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has ordered continuous monitoring of national oil consumption amid regional tensions. He issued these directions during a high-level meeting in Islamabad. The meeting focused on reviewing petroleum reserves and ensuring stability in supply across the country.
During the session, officials briefed the prime minister on current oil reserves and future needs. They confirmed that the country has adequate petroleum supplies at present. Moreover, they emphasized the importance of maintaining careful planning to meet upcoming demand without disruption.
The meeting included key government figures such as Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Federal Minister Ahsan Iqbal, Petroleum Minister Ali Pervaiz Malik, and Information Minister Attaullah Tarar. Senior officials from relevant departments also attended and shared updates.

In addition, the prime minister stressed the need for continued austerity measures to manage resources efficiently. Officials informed him that arrangements for future oil imports have already been finalized. This step aims to prevent shortages and ensure uninterrupted supply.
Finally, PM Shehbaz Sharif stated that effective monitoring has helped avoid any fuel crisis so far. He assured that relief measures for the public will continue. He reiterated that continuous monitoring of national oil consumption will remain a top priority.
