The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has announced that the “Nusuk card” will serve as a key organisational tool for the Hajj 2026 season, highlighting its importance in ensuring smooth management and safety for pilgrims.

According to the ministry, the Nusuk card is a fundamental component of an integrated digital system designed to improve service efficiency and maintain high standards of organisation across holy sites in Saudi Arabia. The card is essential for verifying pilgrims’ legal status and facilitating access to key religious locations, including Makkah and the Grand Mosque.

Officials said the card will regulate entry, enable smooth movement between holy sites, and assist authorities in managing crowd flow to minimise congestion during the pilgrimage. As part of ongoing digital transformation efforts, a digital version of the Nusuk card has also been introduced through the Nusuk and Tawakkalna mobile applications.

This digital integration allows pilgrims to access their personal data instantly and simplifies verification processes, ensuring seamless entry to services and locations throughout the Hajj journey. The ministry emphasised that the card will be distributed through approved service providers assigned to each pilgrim.

Pilgrims who have not yet received their cards have been urged to contact their respective service providers promptly to avoid any disruption in completing pre-Hajj procedures.

The ministry also announced the establishment of a unified contact centre to handle inquiries and feedback, along with official digital platforms to support pilgrims.

Authorities stressed that carrying the Nusuk card at all times is mandatory, as it serves as the primary identification and access tool. Compliance with this requirement is expected to significantly enhance organisation, safety, and overall convenience for pilgrims during Hajj 2026.
