Security Forces Foil BLA Strikes in Balochistan

Pakistan’s security forces successfully thwarted a series of coordinated terrorist attacks across Balochistan on Wednesday. The assaults, named “Herof 2.0,” were carried out by the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) and its foreign-backed affiliates. Swift responses by security agencies neutralized the attackers and restored control across multiple locations within hours. No strategic installations were damaged, and only minor injuries were reported among security personnel.
In Quetta, four terrorists were killed after they targeted a police van on Saryab Road. Frontier Corps (FC) reinforcements secured the area quickly, preventing harm to civilians. In Nushki, terrorists attempted a fire raid on the FC Headquarters, but alert troops repelled them before any damage occurred. Dalbandin saw two explosions near an FC post, yet rapid containment operations kept the situation under control, demonstrating the professionalism and readiness of Pakistan’s security forces.
Other attacks were reported in Kalat, Pasni, Gwadar, Balicha, Tump, Mastung, and Kharan. In Kalat, terrorists targeted the Deputy Commissioner’s office and police lines but were repelled. In Pasni and Gwadar, laborer colonies and coast guard facilities came under attack, yet police and FC units intervened in time. Simultaneous grenade attacks and distant fire raids in multiple towns were also foiled, highlighting coordinated security measures and effective real-time intelligence operations.
Authorities confirmed that the overall situation remains under control, with only 2–3 security personnel sustaining minor injuries. Analysts said the attacks likely came as retaliation for recent counter-terrorism operations that eliminated over 50 terrorists in Balochistan. Experts noted that foreign-based BLA leaders continue to exploit local youth for high-risk operations while remaining safe abroad. Propaganda networks often misrepresent casualties as “enforced disappearances,” misleading the public.
Officials emphasized that terrorism brings no progress or relief to the people of Balochistan. Security forces pledged to continue targeted operations against foreign-backed networks while protecting civilians. The failed “Herof 2.0” campaign exposed poor planning, weak execution, and the growing isolation of terrorist networks. Pakistan remains united against terrorism and committed to safeguarding all communities in Balochistan.
