Marco Rubio has warned that more severe attacks against Iran may still be coming. Speaking to the media, he said the United States is currently focusing on limiting Iran’s missile production, military capabilities, and naval strength. The statement that strongest attacks on Iran are yet to come reflects the growing tension between Washington and Tehran.
The US Secretary of State clarified that regime change inside Iran is not an official military objective of the ongoing operation. He explained that the main goal is to weaken Iran’s weapons development programs and prevent it from acquiring nuclear weapons. According to him, pressure will continue on strategic military sectors.
Rubio also said that if the Iranian people themselves decide to overthrow their government, the United States would welcome such a development. However, he stressed that this is not part of the current operational strategy. The focus remains on security and military restrictions rather than political intervention.

He further stated that the United States is not preparing to send ground forces into Iran. Military actions are mainly targeted at missile infrastructure and naval power systems. The aim is to reduce Iran’s ability to conduct large-scale military operations.
Reiterating the warning, the official said that strongest attacks on Iran are yet to come if security concerns are not addressed by the Iranian leadership. He emphasized that U.S. operations will continue to target strategic military assets of Iran while avoiding unnecessary ground conflict.
