Trapped Worker Rescued Alive After 17 Days in Mardan Mine

A trapped worker was rescued alive after 17 days in a marble mine in Mardan. The rescue brought relief to families and showed the determination of emergency teams working under difficult conditions.
The worker, identified as Abdul Wahab, had been trapped in the mine located in the Nang Abad area. Rescuers finally pulled him out alive after a long and challenging operation that continued without interruption.
The incident occurred on March 31 in Rustam tehsil when a sudden landslide struck the marble mining site. As a result, several workers were buried under heavy rocks and debris, creating a dangerous and complex rescue situation.

Earlier, rescue teams recovered eight bodies from the site, while they managed to save two workers alive soon after the incident. However, Abdul Wahab remained trapped, and teams continued efforts despite limited hope.
According to rescue officials, teams worked continuously and finally succeeded in saving Abdul Wahab. This dramatic operation ended with the trapped worker rescued alive after 17 days in a marble mine in Mardan, offering hope after a tragic mining disaster.
