Tax Money Is National Trust, PM Orders Strict Action

Tax money is a national trust, PM Shehbaz Sharif said while ordering strict action against those involved in over-invoicing. He stressed accountability and directed authorities to act quickly. This statement came during a high-level review meeting in Islamabad.
The meeting focused on the performance of the Federal Board of Revenue and ongoing reforms. During the session, officials presented a detailed report prepared by a special committee on over-invoicing practices. The report highlighted serious gaps in monitoring and enforcement.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif noted that the illegal practice continued between 2017 and 2022. He criticized relevant institutions for failing to fulfill their responsibilities. Furthermore, he ordered swift legal action against all individuals involved in this riot.
