US President Donald Trump met with New York’s mayor-elect, Zohran Mamdani, at the White House to discuss shared issues, focusing on improving city governance. Speaking to the media after the meeting, Trump described it as productive and expressed hope that Mamdani would manage New York’s affairs efficiently with full support from his team.

Trump said he was pleased with Mamdani’s approach and looked forward to seeing positive changes in the city. He emphasized that his administration would assist Mamdani in achieving the expectations of New Yorkers.
When asked about Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s arrest, Trump clarified that the topic was not discussed during the meeting with Mamdani. He also commented that some of Mamdani’s decisions might surprise conservatives.

On international matters, Trump highlighted his efforts in the Middle East, noting that he helped broker eight peace agreements, including initiatives aimed at ending conflicts between Pakistan and India. He stressed that both he and Mamdani share a common goal of promoting peace.

He stated that both his supporters and Trump’s agree that US taxpayer money should not fund countries that violate human rights. The discussion reinforced the importance of collaboration, marking the meeting as a significant Trump meeting with Zohran Mamdani on city governance and policy priorities.
