Trump Signs Bill to End 43-Day Long U.S. Government Shutdown

U.S. President Donald Trump has signed a bill officially ending the 43-day government shutdown, the longest in American history.
The House of Representatives passed the funding bill by a vote of 222 in favor and 209 against, paving the way for the reopening of federal agencies and resumption of key public services.
Under the new law, federal employees will receive their pending salaries, food assistance programs will restart, and the air traffic control system will resume normal operations.

The bill extends government funding until January 30, which will increase the federal debt by an estimated $1.8 trillion.
With the restoration of public services, holiday travel, shopping, and essential facilities are expected to normalize. However, the issue of health insurance subsidies remains unresolved.
