Uzma Tahir criticises Danish Taimoor’s attitude

Pakistani actress Uzma Tahir has openly criticised fellow actor Danish Taimoor, saying that success may have made him arrogant and that people should never forget their past struggles.

Speaking during a recent interview, Uzma Tahir discussed the behaviour of actors within the entertainment industry and shared her views on how some celebrities treat staff and junior artists on drama sets.

Responding to a question about actors’ behaviour toward crew members, she said that even after years, the environment in the industry had not changed much. According to her, senior actors often maintain distance from junior staff, with separate seating and even separate meals arranged for senior artists and lower-level workers.

The actress added that she had been away from television dramas for nearly a decade but had witnessed similar attitudes throughout her career.

While speaking specifically about Danish Taimoor, Uzma Tahir remarked that she felt “a sense of ego” had developed in him over time. She said she had known him since the early days of his career and remembered the struggles he faced before becoming a successful television star.

According to Uzma, people should remain humble regardless of fame and financial success. She recalled that when Danish first entered the entertainment industry, he did not even own a car and used to travel by bus for work commitments.

The actress stressed that artists should treat colleagues and staff respectfully, regardless of status. She also praised actress Sadaf Kanwal, saying that she had always interacted with her warmly and respectfully.
