Islamabad: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) expressed its displeasure over the failure of investigating officers to submit complete challan copies in 13 cases linked to the May 9 incidents.

During the hearing, presided over by Judge Amjad Ali Shah, the court was set to distribute charge sheet copies to 429 accused individuals. However, due to the non-compliance of police stations in submitting the required documents, the judge issued a stern warning and ordered full compliance by the next hearing.

Several key political figures appeared before the court, including Sheikh Rashid Ahmed and Fayyaz-ul-Hassan Chohan. However, others such as Omar Ayub, Shibli Faraz, Shireen Mazari, and Ali Muhammad Khan were absent, having submitted exemption requests.

The cases in question involve incidents of arson at GHQ Gate 1, the Metro Bus Station, and a sensitive government building in Saddar.

Following the proceedings, the court adjourned the hearing, directing authorities to ensure the submission of complete challan copies at the next session.
