Prime Minister Urges Unity for National Development and Counter-Terrorism

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has called on all political leaders to continue their activities but stressed that unity for national development and counter-terrorism is essential. Speaking at the foundation stone ceremony of Daanish School in Chitral, he praised the people of Chitral for their bravery, patriotism, and contributions to Pakistan’s progress. He said the citizens of the region have always supported the nation and deserve recognition for their sacrifices.
The Prime Minister said the people of Chitral are very polite and peaceful, and he felt happy to be there. He remembered former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s efforts in national development and said he was always interested in projects in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Shehbaz Sharif expressed his pleasure in presenting a special initiative for the people of Chitral.

He emphasized that the Daanish School project is a right of the people and not a favor. Children from all backgrounds will receive free high-quality education. The school will provide laptops to students, and the federal government will fully support the initiative to ensure that young people become assets for the nation.
The Prime Minister also highlighted Pakistan’s military achievements, mentioning the May conflict with India. He praised Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu for their leadership and bravery. He said that history will remember the efforts that led to a successful ceasefire, facilitated by former U.S. President Donald Trump.

Shehbaz Sharif reiterated that unity for national development and counter-terrorism is crucial for the country. He congratulated Suhail Afridi on becoming KP Chief Minister and offered his cooperation, hoping it will be accepted. Additionally, he announced a hospital and an immediate gas plant for Chitral to provide essential services to the local population.
