Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced the launch of direct flights from Islamabad to London, following the successful resumption of flights to Manchester, marking a major development for overseas Pakistanis.

According to a spokesperson of the national airline, PIA will operate four weekly flights from Islamabad to London, providing greater convenience and flexibility to passengers traveling to the United Kingdom.

The spokesperson stated that all London-bound flights will operate from Heathrow Airport’s state-of-the-art Terminal 4, ensuring modern facilities and smooth travel experience for passengers.

The first PIA flight from Islamabad to London is scheduled to depart on March 29, after which the route will become a regular part of the airline’s international network.

PIA officials confirmed that London flights are being restored after a gap of six years. London remains PIA’s first-ever international destination and one of its most important and attractive routes.

Currently, PIA is already operating three weekly flights to Manchester, which have received a positive response from travelers and the Pakistani community in the UK.

It is worth noting that Defense Minister Khawaja Asif inaugurated the Islamabad–Manchester route in October 2025, strengthening PIA’s presence in the UK aviation market.
