Speculation over India skipping their Asia Cup match against Pakistan has finally been put to rest.
According to Gulf News, India’s Sports Ministry has granted permission for the national team to play against Pakistan in the upcoming Asia Cup.
In a statement to ANI, the ministry clarified that while India will not engage in any bilateral cricket series with Pakistan, and Pakistani players will not be allowed to play in India, Indian athletes and teams are free to participate in multinational tournaments where Pakistan is also competing — such as the Asia Cup.
It’s worth noting that the much-anticipated India vs Pakistan clash is scheduled for September 14, and cricket fans across the globe are eagerly awaiting this high-stakes encounter.
