Bajaur: The Salarzai tribes in Bajaur have announced strict measures to maintain law and order, warning that anyone found facilitating armed groups will face severe consequences.
In a grand tribal jirga held at the residence of KP Assembly member Anwar Zeb Khan, tribal elders and political leaders unanimously decided that the homes of those aiding militant groups would be demolished. Offenders will be expelled from the area. A fine of PKR 5 million will be imposed and the offender’s entire family will be labelled as enemies of the tribe.
Other Key Decisions:
Nighttime movement without valid reason is now prohibited in Salarzai. Government operations in the area are only permitted during daylight hours. Guards will be deployed in all Salarzai regions. In the event of any unrest, the entire tribe will mobilise to respond collectively.
According to the jirga, these measures aim to protect the region from terrorism, lawlessness, and external interference.
