Islamabad: The Ministry of Law and Justice presented details in the Senate revealing a substantial increase in the monthly pension of the Chief Justice of Pakistan—from Rs 560,000 in 2010 to Rs 2.39 million in 2024.
The written response highlighted consistent yearly increments over the 14-year period. Additionally, the widow of a retired judge is entitled to several benefits, including a driver, orderly, 2,000 units of free electricity, free water, 300 litres of monthly fuel, and exemption from income tax.
