Donald Trump Announces Second Phase of Gaza Peace Deal

US President Donald Trump has announced the beginning of the second phase of the Gaza peace agreement. In a statement posted on social media, Trump confirmed that all 20 living hostages held by Hamas have been safely returned, calling it a major relief—but emphasized that the mission is not yet complete.
Trump noted that Hamas has not yet handed over all the bodies of the deceased hostages, which was part of the original agreement.
Meanwhile, Hamas has handed over 4 more bodies of deceased hostages to Israel via the Red Cross. According to the Israeli military, this brings the total to 8 bodies recovered so far.
In total, Hamas has returned 20 living hostages and 8 bodies, while the remains of 20 more deceased hostages are still in their possession. The transfer of these bodies will continue in phases.

The Israeli government has officially approved a ceasefire and hostage exchange agreement aimed at ending the ongoing conflict in the Gaza Strip, international media reported.
According to official statements, the Israeli Cabinet convened a special session to approve the Gaza peace plan, attended by U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, the son-in-law of President Donald Trump.
The Israeli Prime Minister’s Office confirmed that the government has approved the release of all Israeli hostages held in Gaza, marking the beginning of an immediate ceasefire.
U.S. officials stated that a joint task force of 200 personnel will be deployed to oversee the peace process in Gaza. The force will include troops from Egypt and Qatar, while no American soldiers will enter Gaza territory.
