Islamabad ATC extends bail of PTI leaders until May 5 in protest cases

The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Islamabad has extended the bail of several Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders until May 5 in cases linked to the November 26 protests.
ATC Judge Abul Hasnat Muhammad Zulqarnain presided over the pre-arrest bail petitions of various PTI leaders during Monday’s hearing. Those present in court included Shehryar Afridi, Sher Afzal Marwat, Abdul Qayyum Niazi, Rauf Hassan, Mishal Yousafzai, Nadia Khattak, and Falak Naz Chitrali. The bail of Shoaib Shaheen, Ali Bukhari, Umar Niazi, Timur Jhagra, Ali Zaman, Abdul Latif, and others was also extended.
PTI leaders Zartaj Gul, Alia Hamza, and Kanwal Shauzab also requested exemptions from appearing in court. The judge stated that all pending bail pleas would be addressed collectively.
The hearing was then adjourned until May 5.
The cases against these PTI leaders stem from the November 26 protests and were filed at multiple police stations, including Ramna, Secretariat, Tarnol, and Kohsar.
