Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: Salary deductions announced for flood relief

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has decided to deduct the salaries of government and semi-government employees in August 2025 to support relief and rehabilitation efforts for recent flood victims.

According to a notification issued by the provincial Finance Department, two days’ basic salary will be deducted from employees in Grade 17 and above. One day’s basic salary will be deducted from employees in Grades 1 to 16. The decision was unanimously approved by the provincial cabinet and will apply to all employees of government, semi-government, and autonomous bodies.

Funds raised through these deductions will be used to provide temporary shelter, food, medical aid, and other essentials to affected families. Restoration efforts in flood-hit areas will also be accelerated.

Recent floods have caused significant damage to lives, homes, roads, and infrastructure across several districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
