Lahore under lockdown as police clamp down on PTI protest

Lahore: The city of Lahore faced significant disruptions as authorities tightened security measures ahead of the anticipated Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) protest. Police took control of PTI’s preferred protest site, Liberty Chowk, deploying heavy contingents.

In addition to Liberty Chock, Hussain Chock was also sealed off using containers, as were other major intersections and key roadways across the city. The blockades caused widespread disruptions to daily life, leaving residents struggling to navigate the city.

Many citizens who ventured out for essential tasks found themselves stuck in traffic or unable to access their destinations, expressing frustration over the road closures.
