Mahira Khan celebrates success of Aag Lagay Basti Mein

Pakistani superstar Mahira Khan has expressed gratitude to her team and fans following the success of her latest film Aag Lagay Basti Mein, which was released on Eidul Fitr.

Taking to social media, Mahira shared a heartfelt message acknowledging the contributions of the film’s cast and crew. She began by thanking writer and director Bilal Atif Khan, recalling how she was initially unsure about the project but was convinced by his confidence in her ability to play the role.

She praised his work, saying she felt immense pride in his achievement as a debut filmmaker. Mahira also expressed appreciation for her long-time collaborators, including stylist Babar Zaheer and manager Anushay Khan, crediting them for shaping her on-screen appearance and supporting her throughout the project.

The actress acknowledged several key members of the production team, including art director Hira M Saad, cinematographer Abid Rizvi and creative director Salman Noorani, particularly praising the film’s heist sequences.

She extended her gratitude to fellow actors, including Tabish Hashmi and Javed Sheikh, calling it an honour to share the screen with them.

Special thanks were also given to co-producer Dr Ali Kazmi and lead actor-producer Fahad Mustafa for their dedication and support.

The film, now in its third week, continues to perform strongly in cinemas across Pakistan and internationally, including the US, UK and UAE. Mahira concluded by thanking audiences for making the film a major success.
