Maulana Tariq Jameel Rejects Rumors of Rs49 Billion in His Account

LAHORE – Renowned Islamic scholar Maulana Tariq Jameel has strongly denied recent social media rumors claiming that his son owns a housing scheme and that he has Rs49 billion in his bank account.
Responding to the circulating claims, Maulana Tariq Jameel clarified in a statement that both allegations are completely false.
“There is no housing scheme in my son’s name, nor do I have Rs49 billion in any of my accounts,” he said. “Anyone who wishes to verify this is welcome — my doors are open for investigation.”
Maulana Tariq Jameel further stated, “I belong to a well-off family, Alhamdulillah, but I have never had such a huge amount of money. I have been serving Islam for the past 52 years without turning towards any unlawful income.”
He also emphasized that he always advised his children to earn through honest means, adding, “If I had ever engaged in haram earnings, all my efforts would have gone to waste.”
Referring to similar false claims made in the past, Maulana Tariq Jameel said, “Earlier, people spread rumors of Rs50 billion in my account, and now it’s Rs49 billion. All my accounts are transparent, and anyone is welcome to verify them.”
