Middle East conflict impacts global economy, says minister

MURIDKE – Federal Minister for Food Security and Research, Rana Tanveer Hussain, warned that actions against Iran could affect the global economy. He made the statement while speaking to the media in his native constituency. The minister emphasized that regional conflicts have wide economic consequences.

He highlighted the efforts of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir to maintain peace in the region. Despite tensions, they are striving to prevent escalation. The minister added that war environments impact the economy of the entire region.

Rana Tanveer Hussain said that oil prices have risen globally. However, the Prime Minister maintained prices for the public by providing subsidies. He noted that petrol prices increased by Rs55 instead of Rs110, protecting consumers from extreme price hikes.

The minister stressed that the government prioritizes public interest in economic decisions. Subsidies and controlled price adjustments help citizens during global market fluctuations. This strategy ensures minimal disruption to everyday life amid crises.

He also addressed Afghanistan’s role in regional security. Afghanistan has been repeatedly warned not to sponsor terrorist activities. The minister warned that if Afghanistan continues such actions, strikes against it will continue.

Rana Tanveer Hussain criticized the recent US bombing of an Iranian school. He said it violates the laws of war. Such incidents worsen regional tensions and affect international diplomacy.
