Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has described the 1973 Constitution as a shining symbol of the federation of Pakistan and national unity in a message marking Constitution Day.

In his statement, the prime minister said the nation is celebrating the adoption of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan with a spirit of pride and commitment. He paid tribute to the architects of the Constitution for their historic contribution in laying the foundation of the country’s democratic framework.

Shehbaz Sharif emphasized that the Constitution represents a sacred agreement between the state and its people. He said it clearly defines the legal, moral, and administrative rights and responsibilities of both citizens and the government, serving as a guiding document for governance.

The prime minister further stated that all federating units are playing their role in strengthening national unity and promoting economic development. He expressed confidence that the country is moving forward with determination toward a brighter and more prosperous future.

He also acknowledged the blessings bestowed upon Pakistan and said the nation remains committed to progress and stability. According to the prime minister, Pakistan will continue its journey of development while upholding its dignity among the community of nations.

The message highlights the continued importance of constitutional values in shaping Pakistan’s democratic and institutional progress.
