ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad police have finalised security preparations ahead of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) planned protest on November 24. Authorities have called for reinforcements from Punjab Police and Frontier Constabulary (FC) to bolster security measures.
In anticipation of the demonstration, the police have identified 24 key points to seal the Red Zone, with plans to extend its boundaries to enhance security. Around 6,000 police personnel will be deployed across the city, supported by 1,200 FC troops already present.
Additionally, the Interior Ministry has been requested to provide 400 containers to manage any potential unrest effectively. Officials are awaiting confirmation from the ministry to proceed with final arrangements.
