Swat Floods: Principal’s quick action saves 936 students

In Swat, a government school building was damaged during recent flash floods, but a major tragedy was averted thanks to the quick thinking of the school principal, who successfully evacuated 936 students to safety just in time.

According to the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), severe floods and heavy rains across various areas of Swat have resulted in 22 fatalities, 2 houses completely destroyed while 49 houses partially damaged.

Additionally, two school buildings were swept away, while 13 others suffered structural damage.

Relief operations are currently underway in the affected regions.
