Veteran Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan has revealed that intense work pressure continues to affect his sleep, even at the age of 83, often keeping him awake through the night.

According to Indian media reports, the legendary actor shared his thoughts in a recent blog post, where he opened up about his demanding schedule and the mental strain that comes with his long-standing career spanning more than five decades. He stated that despite his experience and success, he still finds himself reflecting on his performances and work even after finishing shoots.

Bachchan wrote that after completing work, he often feels he could have done better, which leads him to revisit tasks whenever possible. However, he added that even after making adjustments, he remains uncertain whether the outcome improves, leaving him restless and unable to sleep.

The actor further mentioned that on many occasions he remains awake throughout the night due to such thoughts. He acknowledged that doctors generally recommend at least seven hours of sleep, but said that work often takes priority over rest in his routine.

In a reflective tone, he remarked that there is always more work to do within a 24-hour day and jokingly suggested that extending the day to 36 hours would still not be enough to complete everything he wants to accomplish. He added that there is still much to learn and achieve in his professional journey.

Despite his age, Bachchan continues to remain active in multiple film projects. He is currently involved in several productions, including the upcoming film Kalki 2898 AD, in which he is expected to reprise his role as Ashwatthama in its sequel. The film also features actors Prabhas and Kamal Haasan in leading roles.

His revelations have once again highlighted the immense dedication he maintains toward his craft, even after decades in the film industry.
