KP government approves welfare fund for judicial officers

PESHAWAR – The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has announced the establishment of a welfare fund aimed at supporting judicial officers across the province. A committee, comprising members of the KP Finance Department and the law minister, has formally approved the initiative.
According to official documents, the fund—named the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Judicial Officers Welfare Fund Bill 2025—will provide financial assistance to judicial officers in cases of health emergencies, accidents, natural disasters, and other critical situations.
To ensure sustainability, the bill proposes that each judicial officer will contribute a fixed amount on a monthly basis. Additionally, fund management regulations will be determined under the proposed bill, and approval from the provincial cabinet will be sought to establish a legal framework for its implementation.
