PTI Founder’s Letter to Chief Justice Calls for Action on Constitutional Violations

Islamabad: A letter from the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has been delivered to the chamber of Chief Justice Yahya Afridi, urging the judiciary to take immediate notice of ongoing constitutional and fundamental rights violations.
The letter, submitted by lawyer Salman Akram Raja, is addressed to both Chief Justice Yahya Afridi and the Acting Chief Justice. It requests the Supreme Court to intervene in light of alleged breaches of constitutional provisions and the basic rights of citizens.
Speaking to the media outside the Islamabad High Court, Imran Khan’s sister, Aleema Khanum, expressed her concern, stating that she has not been allowed to meet her brother for the past five months. She added that the request for a meeting with the Chief Justice was intended to help restore the dignity of the judiciary. Aleema also emphasized the need for the digitalization of the court system.
Meanwhile, PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan revealed that he met Acting Chief Justice of the Islamabad High Court, Sardar Sarfraz Dogar, and briefed him on key matters, including the denial of family visits to the incarcerated PTI founder.
