RAWALPINDI: The metro bus service between Rawalpindi and Islamabad has partially resumed operations after a temporary suspension.

Officials confirmed that the first phase of the restoration covers the route from Saddar Station to Kashmir Highway. However, the segment between Faiz Ahmed Faiz Station and Pak Secretariat remains suspended for now.

Authorities said the remaining portion of the metro bus route will reopen in the second phase once necessary maintenance work is completed.

In related news, mobile internet services in Rawalpindi and Islamabad have also been restored after a two-day suspension prompted by security concerns.

Connectivity has returned to several areas in the twin cities, following the lifting of restrictions.

On October 10, the Punjab government had imposed Section 144 across the province for 10 days to maintain law and order.
